Attention Teachers! Northland Pioneer College is offering an Introduction to Structured English Emersion class (EDU-280) beginning March 16, 2024, for teachers in need of an SEI Endorsement for certification by the Arizona Department of Education. The course is offered completely online and is open to any Arizona teacher. EDU 280 covers the history, culture, theories, and methods for building English Language Proficiency (ELP) among English language learners in K-12 classrooms. The curriculum also introduces students to the ELP standards and the Arizona English Language Learner Assessment. Participants will receive an assurance letter upon successful completion of the course for submission to the ADE Teacher Certification unit.

  • The cost is $366 for Arizona state residents ($312 for Navajo/Apache County Residents)
